Teaching
I founded the Anthropology and Sociology program in 1990 with Phyllis Passariello.
I have taught more than 40 different courses in that time (which is nuts).
The required courses that I now teach for the program (major) are:
Introduction to Sociology; Social Structure; and a senior seminar on Public Sociology.
The elective courses that I regularly teach for the college are:
Sociology of Family Life; The Happy Society; Sociology of American Religion; Social Welfare; and a first-year seminar on A Happy Life.
I co-directed Centre's program in London, and have taken students during the Centre (January) Term to South Africa and to Australia.
